Here's an easy and healthy oatmeal cookie recipe for when you want to get a little creative in the kitchen.

Many times we have read and heard that most of the cookies sold in supermarkets are loaded with sugars and saturated fats. At Weider, we've created this version, avoiding all that. Because there are always healthy alternatives, like this oatmeal cookie recipe we're about to explain.

The base of our cookie dough is oats. Oats have many benefits, among which is the stimulation of the amino acid lecithin, which helps to detoxify. It also helps control blood sugar levels and improves digestion. We have included some in the form of oat flakes and some in the form of wholemeal oat flour from Gourmet Oat Flour; on this occasion, we opted for the rice pudding flavor.

To add a touch of flavor, we played around by adding orange and dark chocolate chips to these oatmeal cookies. And to sweeten them without overdoing the sugars, we used our organic coconut syrup, Organic Coconut Syrup. A 100% natural sweetener.
