The saying "Why are abs made in the kitchen?" has become so famous because it couldn't be truer. The abdominal area is a part of our body that generally tends to accumulate a lot of fat. What's the recipe?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Abs
  • Consistency

DIFFICULTY:

  • Medium – High, it all depends on your willpower, genetic factors, and exercise performed.

PREPARATION:

  • Put the abs in the caloric deficit pot.
  • Always add QUALITY REAL FOODS.
  • Always combine MACRONUTRIENTS in a coherent and proportionate way.
  • Accompany them with both strength and aerobic physical exercise.
  • Simmer... and wait! Don't try to speed up the process by going on strict or unhealthy diets or killing yourself at the gym with 1000 daily crunches because we could ruin the final result.

That's right!!! Now, seriously speaking... but this "recipe" I've given perfectly summarizes everything I'm about to talk about.

Many people find it relatively easy to define their arms, legs, back... and then their abdominal area is completely covered. Why? Because IF YOU DON'T MAINTAIN A CORRECT AND CONSISTENT DIET BASED ON GOOD FOODS AND A SLIGHT CALORIC DEFICIT, THOSE ABS WILL NEVER SHOW, NO MATTER HOW STRONG THEY ARE.

Common mistakes when working out abs:

  • "But I do 1000 crunches every day" – Mistake – Abs are a muscle group like any other, and if you train them every day, you won't achieve proper development... Do you do biceps and triceps every day? No, right? Well, the same goes for abs. It's enough to train them 3 times a week for 15 minutes with varied exercises.
  • "I eat healthy, I don't eat fried foods, everything is grilled... but on weekends I forget about my diet" – Mistake – it's not just about eating healthy; it's also about maintaining a slight caloric deficit (aided by exercise) and doing it FROM MONDAY TO SUNDAY. If you take care of yourself from Monday to Friday, but overdo it on weekends... you'll even start Monday with more weight.
  • "I exercise 3 hours a day, plus 4 or 5 hours of cycling on weekends, but I can't get rid of abdominal fat" – Mistake – no matter how many hours you exercise, YOUR ABDOMINAL FAT WON'T GO AWAY UNTIL YOU FOLLOW A SPECIFIC DIET FOR IT.
  • "I hardly eat any fat, I have a super strict diet from Monday to Sunday, but I don't see my abs defined" – Mistake – this is the opposite case. With a strict diet to lose fat, you will indeed reduce fat, BUT IF YOU DON'T WORK YOUR ABDOMINAL MUSCLES, YOU WON'T DEVELOP THEM ENOUGH FOR THEM TO BE DEFINED. That is, you'll have a flat stomach, without fat, but the famous "six-pack" will be smooth and undeveloped. Here's a Core workout.

Conclusion: Why do they say abs are made in the kitchen? BECAUSE IT'S THE GOSPEL TRUTH.

So, with this clear, let's put the same or more effort into consistent and appropriate nutrition for fat loss as we do into training hard... and I assure you that, with PATIENCE, we will achieve defined and aesthetic abs.
