It's the dreaded word that every woman has surely faced at some point in her life: Cellulite. Let's admit it, it's a real nightmare! But today we are going to give you 5 tips to prevent cellulite and improve its appearance.
And much of this obsession comes from the stereotypical image of women that is sold to us, which doesn't exist – retouched, digitized, and filter-filled images. With "perfect" bodies that make us feel completely out of place. It's true that if we weren't so bombarded with these unrealistic bodies, we would admit that most women have cellulite, that it's normal, and we wouldn't obsess over it so much.
Even so, the excess of body fat localized in people in general is increasing, and that is a sign that something is wrong with our lifestyle habits. Rather than spending hundreds of euros on treatments to eliminate it, what we need to do is attack it before it appears. Work to prevent it.
What is cellulite?
Simply explained, cellulite is an accumulation of fat (adipose nodules with an orange peel appearance) in our body, mainly in areas such as the buttocks, abdomen, thighs, and hips. This accumulation involves a series of alterations, which result in fluid retention and an excessive level of estrogen, which is why it is more common in women than in men (85% of women who have passed puberty have it).
Tips to prevent and improve cellulite
I wish I knew a foolproof method to eliminate all our cellulite in one go and without spending a single euro. We don't have that, but what we can give you are some tips to prevent cellulite:
- Diet: This is the absolute key. And it is essential that we provide our children with good nutritional education. If a woman has cellulite now, it is simply a consequence of years and years of poor eating during childhood and adolescence.
- Exercise: You have to move that "body." More and more, our lifestyle is becoming more sedentary. We spend hours and hours sitting at the computer, working, on social media, or watching TV. Take every opportunity to move, such as taking the stairs to your house, walking more instead of taking the car for everything. Make exercise a part of your daily life. There's always time to dedicate 3 or 4 days a week to an activity you enjoy.
- Water: Cellulite results in fluid retention. You need to drink water. But be careful, avoid sugary drinks. Avoid juices, sodas, and shakes loaded with sugars and carbs. Better yet, water, coffee, and herbal teas.
- Massages: As simple as buying a horsehair glove and using it every time you shower, massaging problematic areas like the buttocks, thighs, and hips. These simple massages stimulate circulation and prevent fat from accumulating.
- Allied supplements:
- CLA: 1 capsule at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- L-Carnitine caps: 3 capsules before training.
And above all, avoid stress, take life with a positive mindset and take care of your temple, which is your body, and it is a wonderful machine.
