Before talking about my own opinion on choosing products with an "ECO", "BIO", or "ORGANIC" origin, which we now see is more fashionable in many products we consume, I would like to talk about it first in more general terms, so that you understand the concept well and why to consume preferably in this way. So, why eco?
What does BIO mean?
The term "BIO" refers preferentially to products that were not genetically modified, for whose cultivation no chemical substances, artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides were used, and the product was obtained immediately after harvesting by methods that preserve most of the nutrients. This point is already quite important to take into account, as it makes us consider and reflect on the real origin of those that are not and the "nutritional quality of large-scale crops."
Reasons to consume ECO products:
If I had to state the main reason for consuming in this way, it would be: TASTE AND BETTER FOR THE ENTIRE PLANET. In addition to these reasons, I could add, healthier, since choosing organic foods contains 65% more vitamins and antioxidants than conventional ones (hence the taste is affected). The lack of pesticides, antibiotics, and genetically modified organisms helps maintain a much healthier lifestyle due to the drastic reduction in exposure to pesticides.
Finally, it's worth noting that many of the companies that work with this certification not only look out for their own benefit but also take into account very important points for the benefit of everyone, such as the salary, well-being, and treatment of their workers. This is what I call "fair and responsible trade."
The greatest objective of organic agriculture, therefore, is to protect the health of the entire planet and all ecosystems. The consumption of organic products promotes both individual and global health, and by consuming foods of this type, we choose to keep the planet and ourselves healthy.
Weider has started to develop its BIO product line, backed by certification. For now, we have 2 proteins, one plant-based: Plant Organic Protein; and another milk-based: Milk Organic Protein; and the BIO bars, date-based and available in two flavors.

Let's go back to basics, let's reflect on the origin of our products, what is behind them, what impact they generate on the world, on people, and on your health.
