I don't know why many people hear the word Vegan or Vegetarian and react as if it were a cult... BUT WHY? The decision to stop consuming animals or products derived from them is by no means a trend. NO, IT IS NOT A TREND... VEGANISM OR VEGETARIANISM HAS BEEN PRACTICED BY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE FOREVER. Believe me, it is more of a moral and spiritual decision than anything else.

"And you, Celeste, what would you know?" ... well, as it happens, I can speak in the first person about all this, as I have been following a totally vegetarian diet for just over three years, and it will certainly be a point of no return in my life, due to the improvement of my general health and the inner peace it brings me.

Is a totally vegan diet better for your health?

Is it a better eating method than an omnivorous diet? No, of course not, neither better nor worse; in both cases, it's about choosing HEALTHY, NATURAL, AND/OR WELL-PROCESSED FOODS. No one is safe from ultra-processed foods, no matter what you eat.

I have been a nutritionist for many years, and most of the people I help improve their nutritional habits are omnivores, and precisely for this reason, PLANT-BASED PROTEIN IS ALSO A FUNDAMENTAL PART OF A BALANCED DIET.

Lately, meat consumption has skyrocketed to such an extent that it is affecting not only people's health but also the planet's health:

  • Deforestation for grazing destroys natural habitats.
  • Generates more greenhouse gases than all transport combined.
  • Depletes our water reserves – to produce one kilogram of meat requires between five thousand and twenty thousand liters of water, according to the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

Incorporate more vegan protein into your diet

What is the solution? Balance. In terms of our health, it is more than proven that consuming processed meats is carcinogenic to humans, and this is confirmed by the World Health Organization. Excessive consumption of red meat also deteriorates our health, contributing to overweight, cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes, and cancer.

What are you trying to say, that meat is bad? That we should all be vegan now? Of course, since you're a vegetarian... NOOOO, NOT AT ALL! IT'S NOT BAD TO CONSUME MEAT OR ANY ANIMAL PROTEIN... WHAT'S BAD IS EXCESS.

Benefits of taking vegan protein:

That's why we increasingly insist on THE BENEFITS THAT VEGAN PROTEIN PROVIDES US:

  • Easy to find in a multitude of foods such as legumes, nuts, seeds, pseudocereals like quinoa, etc.
  • Contains little fat, and it is unsaturated fat.
  • Controls cholesterol
  • Maintains a healthy intestinal flora thanks to its high fiber content.
  • Easier to digest

Even for people who play sports and supplement, an increasing number of people consume Weider Vegan Protein, and they are not necessarily vegetarians or vegans. They simply choose this option because it feels better for them or they wish to reduce animal protein consumption to improve and balance their health.

Taking vegan protein, such as Vegan Protein if you are an athlete, even at a professional level, will provide exactly the same benefits to your muscles and performance as consuming Protein based on whey. It's just a matter of choosing the one you prefer and that feels better for you, or combining both options!
