We bring you a perfect recipe to impress your guests with dessert. And this time they won't be able to use the excuse that they can't eat it because they're on a diet, because we've come up with the perfect recipe for a low-calorie apple pie that doesn't lose any flavor.
Often when we want to lose some weight, the first thing we do is cut out sweets. We identify sweets with the industrial pastries that we so easily find in bars and shops. But eating sweet desserts is not always synonymous with these unhealthy types of foods. At Weider, we want to show you that there are many possibilities to continue eating delicious sweet desserts in a healthy way. And without having to give up rich flavors or complicated recipes.
The classic apple pie or tart that we all know is deliciously rich, but also dangerously caloric and very high in sugars. That's why we offer you this light apple pie version. It doesn't lose its flavor and meets healthy nutritional parameters.
The cake batter is made with Protein Muffin apple-cinnamon flavor. Although it is a product created to make easy microwave muffins, it can be used for many recipes like this one. It is a gluten-free product suitable for coeliacs, with 25% protein and very low in lactose for those people who don't tolerate it well.

As you can see, the rest of the ingredients are traditional foods: eggs, apples (essential!), Greek yogurt,... we have opted for this type of yogurt because it makes it juicier.
Below you will find the ingredients and the step-by-step preparation method.
Ingredients for 1 cake of 8 servings:
- 100 g of Protein Muffin Apple-Cinnamon
- 100 g of Apples
- 3 Egg whites + 1 Egg
- 125 g Natural Greek Yogurt
- 8 g of Yeast
- Cinnamon

Preparation:
- Mix 100 g of Protein Muffin (apple-cinnamon) with the yeast and cinnamon in a bowl and mix.
- Add the eggs to the mixture and beat.
- Peel and cut 100 g of apple and add to the mixture along with 125 g of yogurt.
- Put everything in the baking pan.
- Decorate the top with apple slices and cinnamon (as shown in the video).
- Bake for 40 minutes at 180º.
